I'd done cocaine for 15 years, smoked pot for 17 - all mixed with alcohol - living for my selfish pleasure was number one in my life. There was never a day when I thought I'd ever stop smoking pot. (Sex was included in the mix.) When you take that much poison for so many years, there's only one antidote...and that's what happened one night as I lay in bed thinking back over my life and crying out for answers and hope. I was suddenly aware of a voice that said "Son, I have rules." At first I thought perhaps my father had come into the room while I was sleeping and was about to give me one of those father son talks about the rules of the house. But there was no one in the room and the voice wasn't an audible voice. Rather it spoke directly to my heart. I felt the light of Jesus pierce my soul and knew right then and there I would have to give my life to Him. I have been walking with the Lord since that glorious night back in August of 1998. I had just had my second child and had experienced some difficulties during the birth. For nearly two weeks I had been hemorraging off and on. One evening as I went into the bathroom, I passed out after screaming to my husband. He ran in to find me in a puddle of blood and immediately called 911. They brought me into the living room where they would have more space to maneuver their equipment, for I had lost consciousness and a pulse. People we knew where driving past the house and had to come inside and see what was going on, fearing for the new baby. There were several people lined up along the wall as the paramedics did what they could to bring me back to life. Little did they know that as all this was going on, I was watching everything from somewhere above the room. I felt no pain and wanted to tell them everything was ok, but I wasn't able to make them hear me. The best part was there beside me was the brightest whitest light that cannot even be explained. It was awesome. It was Jesus! When all was well I returned to my body knowing I had just spent time with the Almighty.Contact:
